OMG!!!!PIZZA…..
Never that I thought before that someday I will make my own pizza, until that day when I came to Yeasmin’s place for lunch. She made a tasty pizza and to my surprise, she claimed that she made the pizza herself, from the scratch!!! Without any hesitation I took my diary out from my bag and begged her to share the recipe. Today, 2 weeks from that fateful day, I braved myself to try it, for real….. Turn out it’s so simple to make the dough, even my daughter, Vanessa, helped me by kneading the dough for 7 minutes, which she thought was so fun. Thank You to Yeasmin!!!!!!
Pizza
What you need for the dough:
4 Cups of flour
1 package of instant dry yeast
1 tsp salt
1 tsp sugar
mix the above dry ingredients together in a big bowl
On a separate bowl, mix:
11/4 cup cold water
1/4 cup of olive oil
Place the wet ingredients together with the dry ingredients, you can use big metal spoon to mix them or use your hands.
They will then turn into a dough, it should be easy and elastic to knead. Keep kneading until all of them mix properly and dough becomes smooth, soft and elastic. It should not be sticky, add some flour if the dough is too wet and sticky.
Let the dough stand in a warm room temperature, cover by clean towel.
Wait until the dough rises (about 30 mins to 1 hour). Punch it and divided into two balls.
Now, you need to flatten the dough to the size that you want. I don’t have Pizza pan, so I use a square 20×30 cm pan. This recipe makes 2 pizzas.
Topping:
You can put anything as the topping. Rule of thumb, you need spaghetti sauce or any tomatoes sauce available and cheese.
I spread the spaghetti sauce and applied the cooked chicken/beef & onion on top of the dough, ended by cover them up with shreded cheese.
Bake them till the dough golden brown in color.
Enjoy it while it’s hot…so yummy!!!!! I will try again some other time with different topping.
